On-site sampling and analysis is usually associated with an industrial hygiene investigation of indoor air quality complaints in a facility.  From the preliminary walk-through survey, specific sampling may be performed for chemical as well as microbiological substances.  Monitoring of airflow supply rates and distribution of ventilation patterns throughout the facility may also be performed to assist in problem identification and resolution with comparison to current guidelines published by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) as well as consultation with other technical references.
